UW-Madison student selected for Jeopardy! College Championship tournament

jeopardy040408.pngSuchita Shah, a 20-year-old senior majoring in Neurobiology, will represent the UW Badgers in the “Jeopardy!” 2008 College Championship. She will join 14 other students from around the country taping the tournament at the University of Wisconsin’s Kohl Center in Madison on April 11 and 12. The winner will take home a grand prize of $100,000. The two-week competition will broadcast nationally starting Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 16, 2008.

In addition to Suchita, Waukesha, Wisconsin native Danielle Zsenak from Marquette will compete, and three students from UW-Madison’s rival Big Ten schools will also appear in the tournament.

Be a Part of the Jeopardy! Studio Audience

Jeopardy!, America’s Favorite Quiz Show®, is coming to the UW-Madison campus. The Wisconsin Alumni Association invites you to join in the excitement by playing an online version of Jeopardy! You could win tickets to a taping of the Jeopardy! 2008 College Championship at the Kohl Center on April 11 and 12.

Clues will be posted each day at uwalumni.com/jeopardy beginning Monday, April 7, through Thursday, April 10. Submit the correct response (in the form of a question) to the day’s clue, and you’ll be entered to win a pair of tickets to one of the Jeopardy! tapings at the Kohl Center on Friday, April 11 or Saturday, April 12.

Contest rules:

Limit one entry per person per day.

Eleven daily prizes will be awarded to winners drawn at random from all correct responses.

Prize descriptions will be posted at uwalumni.com/jeopardy.

All prizes must be picked up at the Wisconsin Alumni Association, 650 N. Lake St. in Madison by Friday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m.

Winners will be contacted via phone and/or e-mail.
