Recapping yesterday's Comedy Hour at the High Noon

Last night, Dane101 got its feet wet with its first media promotion, sponsoring the Comedy Hour at the High Noon Saloon. This is a peformance organized by the Wisconsin Stand-Up Project (WiSUC), which profiled on this website in mid-May. WiSUC (yes, they do pronounce it 'we suck') is a bonafide statewide project, with performers last night hailing from Milwaukee, Green Bay, Marshall, and Madison, with upcoming shows scheduled in De Pere and Curtiss.

The comedy hour was directed by Kendra Frank, who is also a contributing writer here at Dane101. The show's MC was Kitt Burroughs, a radio host in Steven's Point, with an introductory musical performance by singer-songwriter Tamara Backus. The comedians, in theorder of their appearances, were John Egan, Nick Mortensen, Shantara Glenn, Ben Kissel, Rev. Benjamin, and Chris Woldt.
