Madison Summer Festival Previews 2008: National Women's Music Festival June 19-22
Today kicks off the National Women's Music Festival at the Alliant Energy Center. Tickets are still available for this four-day event that celebrates the role of women in music and highlights their achievements. Registration opens at noon today, 7 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. Sunday. In addition to a large slate of artists the fest will feature workshops, a marketplace, film, a Drag King show, and more.The music schedule is below, for the entire itinerary go here.

Tickets for the entire Fest will be available at the door, as will one-day and three-day passes and single-night tickets for Friday and Saturday night concerts. (The single-night tickets are available for a limited time at A Room of One's Own, Madison's feminist bookstore, for just $45 each.)
Featuring four days of women's music, comedy, drag kings, workshops, a marketplace, and other special events, the 33rd annual National Women's Music Festival will be held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin, June 19-22. The longest-running women's music festival in the U.S., the NWMF welcomes people of all genders to celebrate the creative talents and technical skills of women in the visual, performing, and fine arts.
Lodging is available at hotels next to the Center, or you can camp right on the Center's grounds, with showers and electric hookups available.
