DaneCast Episode #1: Wisconsin Primary 2008, Snow, The Capital Times, Mad Rollin Dolls

Current | Dane101 | DaneCast
Welcome to Dane101's first podcast. Jason Dean, Bessie Cherry, Adam Schabow, and Jesse Russell sat down at the High Noon Wednesday night to discuss the past week on Dane101 and what's happening around Madison. Topics include the Wisconsin primary, the weather, the future of The Capital Times, this weekend's Mad Rollin Dolls bout, and much, much, much more. Honestly, they ramble. For the record

We acknowledge this is a little lengthy for our first podcast, but we are pretty happy with how it went. In the future they will either be shorter or at least broken up into multiple episodes.

Bessie rocks for mentioning

Bessie rocks for mentioning the satellite.

Podcast, yo.

I listened to the whole thing. Good job, everyone!

I think this will gel quickly. You all seem comfortable in front of a mic, have plenty of weekly topics to cover and an endless cavalcade of potential guests. The mood is perfect, and the idea to broadcast from the High Noon was brilliant (the background ambience works like a charm, and sets a good tone). You all have sharp, quick-witted personalities and knowledge that will invite listeners to want to spend time with you.

The idea to break it up into categories or have a set time (30-60 minutes) is smart, and for a first-time episode, you have to be extremely proud of yourselves. Kudos.

Nice podcast

That was pretty cool. I will definitely listen to more.

A few comments: I think I caught some pontificating about reading RSS feeds on the toilet. One word: iPhone.

And I got the Jonathon Coulton reference! My girlfriend sings that song sometimes.
