31 Days of Halloween: HalloQueen an IQ Costume Ball
As we've already mentioned there is no shortage of events happening around town on Saturday, October 27. The most recent entrant to the positively jam packed night of Halloween festivities is Madison's infamous IQ night, a.k.a. indie Queer. The event? HalloQueen - an indie Queer costume ball at the Majestic Theatre. There will be plenty popping at the event including DJs Nick Nice and Real Jaguar. Hosting duties provided by Pierce Bottoms. Side Note: Nick Nice will be bringing DJs back to the Majestic this Friday with SoundLab. If it is indie and danceable, Nick Nice will spin it. The eve of HalloQueen will also be a DJ event at the Majestic - the Context Fashion Show.
Release below:
Indie Queer Madison, the machine behind the indie Queer nights that have been rocking the queer Madison community throughout the past year, in partnership with WORT and Isthmus, is throwing its biggest and most anticipated party yet: HalloQueen. The HalloQueen indie Queer costume ball
is the place to be this Halloween Saturday October 27, at the newly renovated, newly reopened historic downtown Majestic Theatre. HalloQueen will be the first ever ALL AGES indie Queer event. Nick Nice, voted Madison's Favorite DJ in 2007, and The Real Jaguar, voted runner up, will tag team DJ
the celebration, which will be hosted by Pierce Bottoms of the MadCabaret. Forget the mounted police, forget the pepper spray, forget freezing your barely covered butt off outside all night, and celebrate Halloween indieQueer style at HalloQueen.
The basics: HalloQueen indie Queer costume ball at the Majestic Theatre, Saturday, October 27, 9 p.m. 115 King Street, Madison, WI. Open to ALL AGES. $8 advanced tickets available through the theater. $10 at the door. For more information, check out indiequeer.com or myspace.com/indiequeermadison.
