31 Days of Halloween: The Dane101 Halloween Rock-n-Roll Extravaganza

Starts at 8 p.m. tonight!

For too long Halloween has been celebrated on State Street on days that have nothing to do with Halloween except for being near October 31. Dane101 aims to change all of that with a proper costume party - the Halloween Rock-n-Roll Extravaganza at the High Noon Saloon on Halloween. We've gone all out to make this a night to remember by resurrecting some of your favorite bands with members long gone - The Clash, Ramones, Beatles, Velvet Underground, and the Misfits (no Misfits are dead, they only look it). Also, a special guest appearance by Zomedian Angus MacAbre. Everyone who shows up in a costume will be entered in a drawing for a grand prize and everyone who brings a food item to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank will be entered twice (a list of most needed food items available here). We will also have a number of prizes for various "best" costumes (still to be determined).

We are still putting together a list of sponsors willing to provide prizes, but below is a short list of confirmations:

Everyone who shows up is entered in a door prize drawing and everyone who contributes a canned good for Second Harvest is entered a second time. October 31 at 8 p.m. Cover is $7 and a portion goes to Second Harvest Food Bank.
