This Saturday, with the windchill at about 9 degrees and a light snow predicted, over 1,300 people will be swimming around in Lake Monona for the Special Olympics of Wisconsin's Polar Plunge. Along with multiple photographers, local tv station crews, and a few groups making documentaries of the event, you can feel free to come out and watch the spectacle. It should be quite a sight.

The plunging will be taking place between 11a and 1p, with many participants and supporters warming up at the Colliseum Bar both before and after the event. Madison's plunge is unique in the schedule of plunges taking place across the state because not only are we the largest group by about 700 people, we've also raised our millionth dollar for the Special Olympics this year. Pretty cool.

Here's a link to more information on Madison's Polar Plunge website.

Here's a link to the team I'm plunging with, the Mad Rollin' Dolls, who currently take 5th place overall in Madison for amount of online dollars raised, and take 4th place overall in Madison for total amount raised.

And because I can, if you'd like to help me, the top fundraiser on the Mad Rollin' Dolls team as of the moment, reach my goal of $600, you may do so by following this link. I'm just $20 shy, and every little bit helps. Thanks to all who have supported the event by making a pledge and to all the plungers who will assuredly make the Plunge a great success!
